Car Description

In Opalescent silver blue metallic with a blue hide interior.

Supplied new to the US, this lovely Series 11 E Type received a bare metal restoration in 2006 and remains in excellent order today. The rebuild included a full engine, gearbox and differential overhaul, new suspension, brakes and steering where needed, a rebuilt cooling system and a new wiring loom.

The wheels were replaced, and the dashboard assembly renewed. The interior was completely refurbished with new a headlining, carpets, seats and trim.

The body was stripped to bare metal , rebuilt and painted in the beautiful light metallic blue.

A four speed manual gearbox was fitted and it has a GKN overdrive unit, which has just been completely rebuilt, and which gives the E Type longer legs. It has electronic ignition, twin electric fans and a stainless exhaust. We have just completed some final tinkering and the Jaguar is ready to go.

In late 2022, the car was re-commissioned after a period of little use following the death of the owner. Not too much work was needed as it had been kept in a dry garage but a classic car specialist fitted a new clutch, flushed through the fuel system and set it up correctly, and the brakes were overhauled as required. Various rubbers and hoses were replaced and the tracking adjusted.

Everything is invoiced and in the file.

The E type looks beautiful in its gorgeous colour and runs very nicely. The interior is nicely mellowed but shows no signs of wear and is immaculate. The panel fit is excellent and the chromework clean and with only minimal deterioration.

Being a 2+2, there is more room for a taller driver or you can take little ones in the rear seats.

A striking and handsome Jaguar.
