In Silver Birch with a Burnt Grey roof with Mulberry interior.
We acquired this lovely P5b Coupe from a regular customer of ours who has been collecting Rovers for more than thirty years. He owned it for five years and there were four owners in total.
It was supplied new by Sam Robbins Ltd of Rugby on the 10th March 1970 to a Mr, Goodway who kept it until 1987. He specified the following extras; Duo-tone paint finish, Laminated front windscreen, Radiomobile radio and a heated rear window. The next owner kept it intil 1996 by which time it had done 86,000 miles. A Mr. Deakin bought the car but never used it and it eventually passed to our customer.
We sold it to a very good customer in Scotland who sadly passed away and it returned South once more. We passed it on to a very enthusiastic owner who covered 9,000 miles and who has thoroughly enjoyed driving and improving it and he eventually purchased a classic estate car to accompany his V12 Ferrari, so the Coupe made its way back to Pye Corner.
The Coupe was extensively restored in 2011 including bodywork refurbishment, a suspension overhaul and a new automatic gearbox in 2013. The gearbox was fully rebuilt, properly, again in 2018. The bumpers and front grille were rechromed and the seats beautiful re-Connolised in the correct Mulberry leather. The door cappings were French polished.
The Rover retains its full factory tool kit, literature pack and the original key fob.
This is the fourth time that we've had the pleasure of offering this lovely P5b Coupe.
