In British Racing Green with dark brown leather seats.
Owned by one family since new, this G33 was the 5th off the production line of only about 100 cars manufactured by Ginetta in Scunthorpe. The car was used regularly for trips to Le Mans amongst other jaunts, until about 2011 and then recommissioned by a classic car garage in 2015.
It journeyed back to Le Mans once more in 2016 and has seen little use since.
We have re-commisioned it with work including clutch and brake hydraulics, re-wiring the car as needed, fitting a new boot cable, flushing the cooling system, cleaning and protecting the chassis and making the headlights work correctly. The fuel system has been drained and hoses replaced. We have also overhauled the gearbox which entailed removing the engine, so we have re-gasketed this to make it nice and oil tight, and replaced hoses where required. We have also cleaned and painted hardware where needed.
The Ginetta has covered 27,000 miles since new. It has the Rover 3.9 litre, fuel injected engine fitted, mated to a five speed gearbox and goes like a train, weighing in at only 874kg.
A rare and exhilarating bit of kit
