In Petrol Blue with black and silver Pascha interior and a black leather dashboard.
Supplied by Motortune Ltd of London in October 1978, this very early 928 was one only 124 cars delivered in the UK in that year and one of only 529 produced worldwide.
A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity supplied with car confirms the details.
The 928 had one driver (it was a company car up to 1981) from new all the way to 2015 and he maintained it thoroughly with Porsche main agents and independent specialists. He oversaw a major overhaul in 1995 which included suspension dampers, drive belts change and a full repaint in the original colour.
There is a large history file with invoices and a stamped service book covering the 125,000 miles since new, and which includes documentation on over £15,000 spent with Porsche people since 2012, servicing and improving the car. The air conditioning has been upgraded to take modern gas, the suspension and brakes have been attended to and the front seats have been completely rebuilt and re-trimmed. The car had a big service and cambelt change with JAZ in St. Albans fifteen hundred miles ago.
In 2021, the Porsche was dispayed at the London Concours at The Honourable Artillery Company in London.
Still wearing its Teledial alloy wheels, the 928 is in excellent order and looks wonderful in the beautiful colour which was featured in the launch brochure.
