In Ford Radiant red with a full leather interior in Biscuit.

This genuine, Factory GT V8, chassis number G-D2D1/765-G, was restored by an MG enthusiast (the chairman of the MG Group in Chesterfield) some years ago and remains in beautiful condition. The striking colour is set off by new Minilite alloy wheels finished in graphite.

The bodywork received new inner and outer sills, wings, door skins and a front valance. It was stripped to bare metal and painted and the finish remains superb.

Inside, new Connolly leather seats went in and the dash top and door cards were trimmed to match. The interior is like new. Lots of the exterior trim was renewed. 

Mechanically the brakes were overhauled, the fuel system refreshed and the engine received a de-coke and thorough checkover. The gearbox had new bearings fitted and a sports exhaust went on.

The V8 drives beautifully. In recent times the front brake calipers have been uprated, Gaz shock absorbers have been fitted to the front suspension and Spax to the rear. The engine has an uprated camshaft and there are results from a dyno test in the file, at which it achieved just under 160BHP.

Gas struts are fitted to the bonnet and boot lid, central locking operates on the front doors, the headlights are now uprated and there is a high level brake light for added safety. The full sunroof has been beautifully retrimmed in fabric. 

This fine BGT V8 has been on runs to Belgium and Laon in France with the current owner and he reports that it went like a bird. The car is powerful and smooth and the sports exhaust adds a rich tone to the sound.

A fine looking car that is nicely set up for use.
