Jaguar S Type 3.4 for sale Sold

In dark blue with a cream interior.

According to the Green logbook in the history file, this handsome Jaguar S Type was supplied new to a Mr. Miller in Rochester, Kent. It has the 3.4 litre, six cylinder engine and a manual gearbox with overdrive and it's a matching numbers example with its original engine. Power steering is fitted.

The Jaguar was restored 2001 and 2007 for Jaguar World magazine, copies of which showing the restoration are included in the file. The rebuild included the bodywork, interior and engine and the car remains, save for a couple of blemishes, in excellent order throughout. 

The paintwork shines, the chromework is gleams and the interior is superb with beautiful woodwork, refurbished seats and new carpets. The carburettors were rebuilt by Burlen, there is a stainless exhaust fitted and an uprated radiator.

The engine sounds healthy and shows very good oil pressure. It pulls well. Recent work includes a full gearbox rebuild and a new clutch, new front brake discs and pads, and attention to the front suspension. 

Inside the history file there are the aforementioned magazine copies detailing the restoration, invoices of subsequent maintenance work over the years, including some from Holland where the car lived for a while, a Green log book and various MOT certificates, the oldest being from April 1976.
